Archaeology e-Books

We have been away and we apologize for our absence. it could not be helped. We do not have a lot of time so we thought we would mention the Biblical Archaeology Society’s e-books.

As far as we know, we have not written bout them before. These are great little books that cover a wide variety of important archaeological topics. Plus, they are free. You can get them if you sign up for their Bible history daily newsletter.

We have done this in the past and the newsletter is a good way to keep up on what is going on in the modern world of archaeology. For serious armchair archaeologists, they are always a good resource to use when writing a paper, making a point, or just wanting to be knowledgeable.

To get yours, just click here and you will be taken to the web page with all the information and 3 pages of e-books that are available. We do not get any financial or other consideration for mentioning these books.

We just want our readers to know about the different resources that are available that will help them in their historical studies. The thing that we were unhappy about with BAS, is that they cut their store down immensely.

You used to be able to buy complete magazine DVDs, CDS as well as the recorded lectures for the many lecture series the Society offers each year. Also, you could have gotten all the magazines up to 2010 or so on a nice USB drive.

But the Society cut that product out as well. The Society is focused on their library which houses their articles, etc. We haven’t joined the library as we already have the complete Bible Review, the complete Odyssey magazines, and earlier compilations of BAR, The Bible and Spade magazine, and so on.

You can get the Library information starting at this link. Just keep in mind that while the Society has the word Biblical in its title and magazine title, most of the authors are not Christian. You will get a secular view on most topics written about in those articles.

To subscribe to the library you will have to go to their subscription page for further information. When you need to do research the library will provide you with access to a lot of valuable information.

These items are worth checking out if you want to enhance your archaeologicalkowledge and research.
