…will it take to accept the past as it truly was or accept the Bible as historical? Archaeology has been around in one form or another for over 300 years. There were treasure hunters, there were archaeologists, and there were amateurs making discoveries throughout history.
However, even though some of the finds have been grand and history-changing, what would it take to answer those questions? For example, the Dead Sea Scrolls were proclaimed as the greatest 20th-century archaeological find.
However, all that the Dead Sea Scrolls did was prove that the Bible has remained unchanged for thousands of years. The silver Scrolls were another grand discovery but all it proved is that the OT was intact even longer into the past.
Another 700 to 1000 years in fact. Is there a discovery that would change your mind about how archaeologists and historians paint ancient times? Is there a discovery that would change your mind about the Bible and its historicity?
